War: What is it good for?

Those patrolling the grounds noticed that the enemy was fast approaching. That was the declaration of war. It was all hush-hush. They thought with the death of Deva they could sneak in and take what they wanted: the magical lands of Brimstone. Not on Ravyn's watch.

The army went out and attacked them. It was a brutal fight and many lost their lives, but they killed them all. Valaria was about to kill Courtney for killing her husband in the rebel camp, but Mordecai snuck up behind her, chopping her head from her shoulders before she was able to follow through with her plan.

Taking the head to the wagon, he showed it to Tara along with the bounty where Valaria was wanted, dead or alive, for her part in the rebellion. He didn't want the bounty, but he was keeping Courtney safe and showing the evidence of why he did it.

"Take no prisoners," was the motto of Ravyn. Why would she want the enemy in her camp? She didn't. The clean up crew went around killing off the enemy, making sure they were all dead, before they went back to Cairnheim and the castle.

They were only a day's ride out which made Ravyn a little anxious. The enemy got too close too quickly. Now, it was time to send the war their way.
