Hello! I’m Lisa. Yes, the original creator of Brimstone. Welcome to the remix of Brimstone! Too many yearn for the old school RP and who else to bring it back but someone who lived through that era? Back in 2000, we had many members and though today most of RP has died, we are going to try and bring back the fun it once held. You can find Tara in an AIM chat room: Brimstone Castle.
I don't add you to the roster until you actually come in and play. The PB gets reserved for two weeks. If you don't play in that time, you are deleted from the game. I have no time for people who just want to waste my time.
We do have an attendance requirement. If you don't show up in a month, I delete you. I want players, not names on a roster.
Dice are gone. It's just plain old RP. There still will be no God-moding. If a situation happens where your character would be hurt, show them being hurt. There are no Supermen, one-man-army, take on the world by himself, characters in this game. You can use magic, but make it realistic. If your character is just starting out, then half the time their magic spell is going to backfire and hit one of your own group, or the caster.
How do you earn money? Easy. You sign in and out in aim with the time played, or your character gets paid for the missions they need to do. They aren't as frequent as they could be. Usually, it's just RP. You get $1 per minute of RP time of the log. You want to open another AIM room and RP and still get credit? That's fine, just send me the log for verification and you're good.
If you are looking at joining, READ the site. There have been a few changes.
The year is 1318 in Brimstone, England. Deva is dead and her cousin, Princess Ravyn Brimstone is in charge. That means this is a medieval game which means, no vehicles, no guns, no electricity, no cell phones, no turning on lights, no lighters, no cars or bikes, no coolers or refrigerators, none of it. The castle has well water with a hand pump, but on the missions, they must find drinking water. Clothing is medieval based, no more jeans and other such things. If it wasn’t back in medieval times, you cannot possess them. Be creative and think of ways to make it work for your character.
Where do you apply?
IC: Tara is in charge of the recruiting. Your character finds Tara (Tortured Tales) and they discuss it in character.
OOC: send me your info - the name of the PB (make sure it is not already taken) you want to use, character name, screen name, mun name/nickname), and I'll get you on the site. You are just reserved until you play and that only lasts for 2 weeks.

Despite what you may have heard, I am actually pretty nice. If you don't understand something or need help creating your character sheet with the skills and spells then hit me up. I'll walk you through it, it's not as hard as it looks. I don't have a problem with it. After all, you will have a lot more fun if you understand the game versus guessing your way through. ;)
